Seed by Seed
2024
Inspired by the interior life of a pomegranate, layered, protective, and rich with rhythm, Seed by Seed reimagines student housing as an ecosystem of atmosphere, not architecture. Rather than divide space by function, the project invites users to move through it emotionally. Zones are not assigned, they’re felt. Movement is circular. Boundaries are gestures. Walls are replaced by rhythm and pause. The ground floor becomes a soft landscape of interaction. Bean-like tables mirror seeds in balance. Curved benches guide connection without enforcing it. Every element is shaped for flow, not to fill the space, but to hold it. Materiality plays close to the skin: cork, limestone, raw cherry wood, copper-toned accents. Earth, not gloss. Warmth over spectacle. Every finish speaks in texture, not noise. Above, the mezzanine drifts into stillness. Four sleeping pods nest into the structure like petals. They’re not rooms, they’re rituals. Red-rimmed, softly enclosed, half-open to the world. Private, without isolation. The entire residence breathes like its concept: generous, slow, and rich in inner life. It’s not a dorm. It’s a spatial fruit. A place to gather, rest, and bloom.
